Common questions

You can create a PrimaryBid account through a quick and simple registration process via the PrimaryBid mobile app. We will perform a simple Customer Due Diligence check and ask for some additional information before you can begin participating in a PrimaryBid offering. Here is the information we ask before you can complete the account opening process:

  1. Name
  2. Address
  3. Telephone Number
  4. Date of Birth
  5. Nationality
  6. National Insurance Number
  7. Broker / General Investment Account Number

PrimaryBid will not charge the individual investor any commission for using the platform. Instead, we charge companies a fee based on the money they successfully raise through PrimaryBid.

Yes. If your broker is already working with PrimaryBid, you can apply for shares directly through your broker. Please contact your broker for more details.

If your broker doesn’t work with us yet, ask them to join PrimaryBid!

If you do not have a broker, we are unable to transfer shares to you. You will need to open a General Investment Account with a broker in order to receive any shares allocated to you.

The best recourse is to open a General Investment Account with a broker who is already in our "drop-down menu". This can be found during the sign up process or by signing in and going to 'Profile' then 'Broker Details".

Yes, but only if you apply for shares through your broker. Unfortunately, due to HMRC rules, if you apply for shares through our mobile application, you will not be able to receive your shares in your ISA or SIPP account.

If your broker is already working with PrimaryBid, you can apply for shares directly through your broker. Ask your broker to transfer your shares into your ISA or SIPP account. Please contact your broker for more details.

If you have verified your email address, you will be sent an email to notify you of new offers. If you have the PrimaryBid app, please ensure that you have your notifications turned on so that you will also receive a push notification to your mobile phone or tablet.

You can subscribe to an offer via the PrimaryBid App using a debit card.

Our payment provider is WorldPay, and all transactions will be in the name PRIMARYBID or PBECOMM. Once completed the transaction, you will receive an email from PrimaryBid confirming your payment.

Please note, if you do not receive a confirmation email from PrimaryBid, your subscription is unconfirmed, and you will not receive any allocation of shares.

If you did not complete payment for any reason, you will need to restart the process on our mobile app. Neither PrimaryBid nor WorldPay store your payment details and if a payment is unsuccessful you will not be charged at any given point.

Time required for this process varies depending on your broker. Trade and Settlement Dates must be agreed with your broker before we are able to transfer your shares. The timing for this is out of our control, but the transfer can be facilitated by following any specific instructions given in our allocation email, or any actions requested by your broker.
