Whats Changing?
In collaboration with our brokerage partners, we are changing our service to align with the direction of the market. An increasing number of our customers are subscribing through their broker or wealth manager, who have made huge progress in the provision of access to primary markets. As a result, we have made the decision to retire the PrimaryBid iOS and Android app and web interface on 16th April 2024.
retire the PrimaryBid iOS and Android app and web interface on 16th April 2024.
Going forward, any subscription to a PrimaryBid deal needs to be made through your broker or wealth manager. Please note firms have different access policies to PrimaryBid offers. Subscriptions may only be permitted if you are an existing shareholder of the issuer and/or an existing customer of the broker or wealth manager. If you are not an existing shareholder you should contact your broker and they will advise if you are able to invest and the relevant steps to take. These steps may vary between each deal and each broker.
We launched our UK app and web-based transaction service to meet an important gap in the market: retail investors being unable to access valuable listed UK company fundraisings at the same time and same price as larger institutional investors. However, the market has evolved significantly, reflecting industry advocacy and regulatory change. Retail investor inclusion is now ordinary-course in UK capital markets transactions. In response, UK wealth and investment platforms have grown their propositions and the range of transactions they can support. In fact, the vast majority of demand for PrimaryBid transactions is now channelled through our extensive partner network. As a result of the evolving landscape, we are updating our service to orient with the direction of the market moving forward.
Existing users will have received an email notifying them of the changes and updates to our services. Said-users will be able to access the PrimaryBid app and website until April 16th.From April 17th onwards, the PrimaryBid apps and website will be inaccessible for users, however users can still access PrimaryBid deals through our extensive partner list noted above.
To receive email notifications of new deals you can sign up to our deal notification service which will notify you whenever PrimaryBid offers are launched.
This depends on whether your existing broker allows participation in PrimaryBid offers. You can check the full list of partners who allow participation above.
With most of the broker partners we work with, they provide an order placing service, however please check with your broker to make sure they offer this. If not, and you wish to continue to participate in PrimaryBid offers, you can check the list above for partners we work with who do provide this service.
